WEA has launched a fully subsidised short course designed to help new trainers gain the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to deliver non-accredited adult education across South Australia.
Trainer Essentials is a self-paced online course for people interested in running short courses or community workshops. It’s ideal for those with experience or expertise to share, whether you’re looking to explore a new pathway, add flexibility to your work, or get involved in community learning.
The course covers the fundamentals of non-accredited adult education, including session planning, engagement techniques, and facilitation skills. It’s designed to support aspiring trainers in developing and delivering effective learning experiences.
This initiative is supported through funding from the Government of South Australia and aligns with broader efforts to strengthen local learning opportunities and workforce participation.
The course is open to anyone in South Australia and can be completed at your own pace. Visit www.wea-sa.com.au to learn more or get started.
