Leonie is an experienced economic development practitioner and Board Director with a strong commercial business and public sector background. With over 30 years’ experience in senior management roles, her public-sector experience includes both state and local government and her private sector experience has been gained in the retail, hospitality, tourism, franchising, and finance industries across Australia and overseas. Leonie’s previous experience also includes operating her own strategic management consultancy business, providing a range of consultancy services with a focus on regional economic and community development.
Leonie is a member of the South Australian Skills Commission, a current Board Director with the Women’s & Childrens Hospital Foundation; a former Area Councillor and Deputy Mayor (The Barossa Council), former Board Member of Tourism Barossa Inc. and former Deputy Chair West Beach Trust (Adelaide Shores).
Through her current and previous roles, Leonie has valuable networks, a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities for regional economic growth and is a passionate advocate for our region.
