Seppeltsfield has expanded its vineyard holdings in the Barossa Valley by acquiring 230 acres, bringing their total to over 4,000 acres. The Lyndoch vineyard was previously part of the original Chateau Yaldara property, developed by Hermann Thumm in 1946. This move aims to meet the rising demand for luxury Australian wine in China, with 10,000 tonnes of grapes producing nearly 10 million bottles annually.
Warren Randall, Executive Chairman and Proprietor of The Randall Wine Group, stated, “Acquiring the AVL Lyndoch vineyard strengthens our foothold in the Barossa Valley and allows us to cater to the revived demand for luxury Australian wines in China.”
