Sarah Price, a Barossa Regional University Campus registered student, has been awarded the 2025 Dr Ben Baker Memorial Scholarship to support her studies in a Bachelor of Nursing. Currently working as an Enrolled Nurse at Angaston Medical Centre, Sarah will use the scholarship to assist with study costs, particularly the extensive placements required as part of her degree.
Overcoming Barriers to Study
Pursuing a nursing degree comes with significant financial challenges, especially for students balancing work, study, and placement requirements. For Sarah, the scholarship provides vital support to help cover costs and reduce the financial burden of external study.
Sarah has strong ties to the Barossa community and has been committed to healthcare for many years. Working at Angaston Medical Centre, she has seen firsthand the impact of dedicated healthcare professionals and is eager to advance her career as a Registered Nurse. Receiving this scholarship ensures she can continue working towards her goal while remaining in the region.
