On Friday June 14, 2024, from 10 am to 3 pm, Flinders University will host the Rural Resilience Workshop at the Flinders City Campus, located at Festival Plaza, Level 14, 1 Festival Tower, Station Road, Adelaide. This workshop aims to enhance wellbeing and strengthen communities in rural areas. The SA Drought Hub received funding from the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund, supporting initiatives like this workshop to build resilience in rural communities.

- Prof Robyn Clarke: Matthew Flinders Emeritus Professor, CHAP Project Lead, Flinders University
- Dr Catherine Mackenzie: Senior Research Fellow, Centre for Social Impact, Flinders University
- Mr Simon Millcock: CEO, Northern and Yorke Local Government Association
- Dr John Harvey: SAGIT Trustee, Non-executive Director, Headspace and Foodbank SA & NT

Additionally, there will be other speakers addressing critical pain points experienced by rural and remote communities.
The workshop will include engaging presentations and interactive discussions, exploring innovative approaches to the unique challenges faced by rural communities. Topics will cover sustainable agriculture, mental health in rural areas, community development, and more.
