The Australian Government, through the Department of Home Affairs, is conducting an evaluation of the regional migration settings as part of its broader migration strategy. This in-person forum, scheduled for 2:30pm-3:30pm on Friday 30th August 2024 at the Barossa Council Chamber, offers a platform for direct engagement with representatives from the Department.
The Regional Migration Settings Discussion Paper has already received written submissions. Now, this forum will address the specific challenges and opportunities that regional migration presents to our region.
Participants will have the chance to voice their concerns, offer feedback, and discuss potential policy impacts directly with government officials. This is a significant opportunity for local stakeholders to influence the future of migration policies in the region.
