The Australian Government is accepting applications for the Paid Employment Pathways Package – WorkFoundations, open from 14 January 2025 to 11 February 2025. This initiative, led by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, funds social enterprises and businesses to provide tailored, paid employment placements for job seekers facing significant barriers to employment.
Grant Objectives
The WorkFoundations program supports activities that:
- Help job seekers with complex barriers build work readiness in a supportive environment.
- Offer tailored services addressing individual employment challenges.
- Provide real-life work experiences aligned with participants’ skills, interests, and needs while earning real wages.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants include:
- Companies
- Cooperatives
- Incorporated associations
- Indigenous corporations
- Partnerships
- Sole traders
- Statutory entities
- Trustees acting on behalf of eligible trusts.

Key Dates
- Applications close: 11 February 2025, 9:00 pm AEDT
- Assessment of applications: March 2025
- Notification to applicants: Early May 2025
- Grant activities begin: July 2025
- Grant activities end: 30 June 2027
