The Family Business Association, in partnership with the Government of South Australia’s Office for Small & Family Business, is offering a series of three-hour workshops across March to May 2025 to help South Australian family businesses build capability in succession, governance, and legal considerations.
These workshops are tailored to the needs of family businesses, providing practical knowledge to improve business processes, strengthen governance, and drive sustainable growth.
Family businesses face unique challenges in leadership, planning, and legal structure. These workshops provide essential guidance to help businesses prepare for the future, reduce risk, and ensure long-term success.
What the Workshops Cover
Topics covered include:
- Succession planning – ensuring smooth transitions between generations
- Governance structures – strengthening leadership and decision-making
- Legal considerations – understanding key obligations and protections
Workshops are $55 per person and are available in-person in Adelaide and online.

“I found this workshop vital as we look at taking our 7th generation (156-year-old company) into the future. It gave me the skills and confidence to develop succession plans to protect our business and the next generation.” – Tom Whittenbury, Grundy’s Shoes
