The Town of Gawler is inviting residents to vote on how public funds are spent in the 2025-2026 budget. Participatory Budgeting allows the community to directly influence which projects receive funding to improve local spaces and services.
Projects Available for Voting:
- Public Art – Install murals, sculptures, and community-led art projects
- Bird Nest Boxes & Bee Hotels – Support native wildlife and pollinators
- Street Libraries – Set up free book exchange stations in public areas
- Outdoor Shelters – Provide shaded seating in parks and community spaces
- Drink Fountains – Install drinking fountains in key public locations
- Park Benches – Add more seating in parks, trails, and recreation areas
- Bus Stop Benches – Improve comfort at public transport stops
How to Vote
Voting is open from 11 March to 28 March 2025. All residents of the Town of Gawler are encouraged to participate. The projects with the most votes will be considered for funding in the upcoming budget.
