The Australian Government, through the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts, has released the Program Guidelines for Round 2 of the Growing Regions Program. These guidelines are now available to help eligible applicants prepare their grant applications.
The program provides $393 million in funding to support capital works projects that enhance liveability, bolster social cohesion, and improve local amenities in Australia’s regional, rural, and remote communities. Grants available range from $500,000 to $15 million per project. It is targeted at local government entities and incorporated not-for-profit organisations that are focused on developing infrastructure to benefit regional communities. Applications open 5 September and close 10 October 2024.
Applicants should begin preparing their submissions based on the guidelines provided. The process is competitive, and funding will be awarded based on merit.
