A section of Barossa Valley Way in Lyndoch will be closed as part of preparations for the 2025 AFL Gather Round at Barossa Park. From 6 am Thursday 10 April to 6 pm Monday 14 April, a 530-metre stretch between Gates 1 and 3 will be fully closed to allow construction and removal of event infrastructure.
Light vehicles will be detoured via Jollytown Road and Gilbert Street in both directions within Lyndoch. Heavy vehicles will follow a detour via Williamstown Road and Lyndoch Valley Road, between Sandy Creek, Williamstown and Lyndoch.
On match days, Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 April, the closure area may be slightly extended to support additional transport movements, including buses. Parking restrictions will also apply along Kauffman Avenue and in the Village Green Carpark to provide space for shuttle buses to pick up and drop off attendees.
