South Australia’s $2 million Experience Nature Tourism Fund (ENTF) is designed to enhance nature-based tourism experiences. The fund aims to attract both domestic and international tourists, showcasing the state’s natural landscapes and cultural heritage. With grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000, this initiative supports new and improved tourism products and experiences in or near national parks, reserves, wilderness protection areas, or marine parks.
Funding Streams:
- Stream 1 – Quick Activation Projects: Grants from $10,000 to $20,000 for ready-to-activate projects such as one-off purchases.
- Stream 2 – Innovative Development Projects: Grants from $20,001 to $50,000 for larger projects with higher costs, longer durations, and/or multiple components.
Eligible Applicants:
Private businesses, not-for-profit organisations, community associations, sole traders, partnerships, companies and trusts, community and progress associations.
Eligible Projects:
- Purchase of equipment for snorkelling, kayaking, cultural tours, wildlife viewing, and other ‘pop-up’ activities in national parks.
- New or refurbished off-grid accommodation such as tiny homes, cabins, and glamping tents.
- Infrastructure such as toilets and solar power generation (not as standalone projects).
Application Process:
Round Three Applications are now open and close on 16 August 2024. Applications are accepted via the online form. Seek letters of in-principle support from the Department for Environment and Water (DEW), if required, before applying.
