Light Regional Council is excited to announce the Community Infrastructure Grant, a key initiative designed to empower local communities by providing financial support for infrastructure projects. The grant is available to non-profit organisations and community groups to develop or improve essential facilities within the region.
The grant offers funding of up to $20,000 per project to support the creation, enhancement, or accessibility of community infrastructure. This initiative aligns with the Council’s mission to promote community well-being, sustainable infrastructure development, and inclusion.
Eligible projects include:
- New infrastructure projects such as playgrounds, recreational spaces, or community halls.
- Upgrading existing facilities to improve accessibility, safety, or sustainability.
- Adding features that encourage wider community use, such as ramps or outdoor seating areas.
Important Dates:
- Applications open: 23 September 2024
- Applications close: 1 November 2024
How to Apply:
Interested organisations can apply by downloading the application form from the Council’s website. Completed applications should be submitted via email to grants@light.sa.gov.au or delivered in person to Council Offices in Kapunda or Freeling.
