The 2025 Barossa Vintage Festival, held from 23 to 27 April, delivered a powerful celebration of community and creativity, featuring 91 events across South Australia’s premier wine region. Co-Directors Maz McGann and Rebecca Reynolds led a diverse program ranging from wine and food experiences to live music, art exhibitions, and markets.
Saturday’s Festival Parade included more than 1,000 participants marching through Tanunda and Nuriootpa, while the Grape Stomp sold out with 60 teams entered — including groups from Sydney, Tamworth, China and the Barossa’s sister region, Grapevine, Texas.
Speakers at the launch, including Barossa Council Mayor Bim Lange and Barossa Australia CEO Scott Hazeldine, praised the Festival’s legacy and the dedication of volunteers, sponsors and community groups. While final economic data for 2025 has not yet been released, past festivals have been estimated to contribute around $14.8 million in visitor expenditure, reflecting the importance of this event to the local economy.
The Festival continues to offer a platform for celebration, connection, and pride across the Barossa.
