Barossa Village has completed construction of five new homes in Nuriootpa as part of its Buna/Kokoda housing project. The 2,400 m² site, previously occupied by two older houses, has been redeveloped to provide housing for older residents.
Each home includes two bathrooms, open-plan living, a carport, landscaped garden, and an accessible kitchen layout. Additional features include widened doorways, flip-mixer taps, extended drawers, and raised toilets—designed to support long-term mobility and independence.
Design input was provided by Elinor Walker of ESD Planning and Design. The development was delivered within the existing neighbourhood to meet local housing needs.
More than 70 people attended a community open day to view the completed homes. Attendees included residents, family members, local representatives, and industry professionals.
