The luxury $80m six-star Oscar Hotel at Seppeltsfield Winery is among the projects benefiting from the South Australian government’s Economic Recovery Fund. This initiative, established in the 2022-23 budget, is designed to stimulate economic growth by providing financial assistance to key projects.
The Oscar Hotel, located in the renowned Seppeltsfield Winery, will feature 71 opulent rooms, a fine dining restaurant, a lounge area, a rooftop pool, and a terrace bar. The project has been awarded a $3.5m loan, part of the $11.5m allocated to regional tourism infrastructure development.
Construction approval for The Oscar was granted by the local Light Regional Council on June 1, 2022, marking a significant milestone in the development of this luxury accommodation.
Treasurer Stephen Mullighan highlighted the significance of such projects, stating, “The successful tourism projects including a new six-star hotel in the Barossa will benefit South Australians by creating jobs and boosting our visitor economy.”
