The Qantas Australian Tourism Awards were held in Adelaide on Friday 21 March, recognising the nation’s most exceptional tourism businesses.
Among South Australia’s winners were two outstanding representatives from the Barossa region.
Seppeltsfield Barossa won Gold in the Tourism Wineries, Distilleries and Breweries category, confirming its status as South Australia’s most outstanding winery tourism experience.
Barossa Australia received a Bronze award in the Tourism Marketing Campaigns category for ‘Barossa. Be Curious’, recognising the region’s strong branding and visitor engagement efforts.
Emma Terry, CEO of the South Australian Tourism Commission, reflected proudly on the results:
“South Australia shone brightly at the 40th Qantas Australian Tourism Awards, showcasing the State’s unique blend of hospitality and innovation that leaves a lasting impression.
“Not only did we see our tourism operators rewarded for their innovation and dedication to delivering high-quality tourism products, but industry from across the country could experience for themselves the special kind of hospitality South Australia is known for.”
These results highlight the strength and quality of tourism in the Barossa and showcase the impact of regional storytelling on a national stage.
