The 2023-24 Open Space Grant Program has been officially launched. This initiative presents an opportunity for local councils to reimagine and revitalize their public spaces, encompassing laneways, main streets, civic plazas, and other communal areas.
The primary goal of this grant program is to foster better-connected, greener, and more vibrant community spaces. Councils across South Australia are encouraged to bring forward projects that promise to transform public areas into thriving hubs of community life and environmental sustainability.
Administered by the Office for Design and Architecture SA within the Department for Trade and Investment, the Open Space Grant Program is a component of the broader Planning and Development Fund. This fund is pivotal in enabling strategic planning, design, and delivery of quality public spaces that contribute to healthy, liveable communities in South Australia.
