The Australian Government is offering up to $1 billion over five years for disaster preparation through the Disaster Ready Fund (DRF), starting July 1, 2023. The second phase of the DRF will provide up to $200 million from the Australian Government for projects that reduce disaster risks and improve resilience, with matching funds from state, local governments, and others.
Applications are open, and project proposals must be submitted between January 22 and March 20, 2024. Applicants should contact the Lead Agency in their area to discuss proposals and follow their application process.
