In 2024, South Australia’s first commercial agave crop was planted in Willunga, and now, Luna Brewing and Distilling is exploring the Barossa as a potential site for small-scale agave cultivation and distillation.
The Town of Gawler is upgrading Dead Man’s Pass / Yarnpana Reserve as part of its 2024–2025 Capital Works Program, funded through the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program (LRCI Phase 4). Temporary toilets will be available onsite from 8 April.

2025–2026 Grassroots Grants opens, funded through the landscape levy, this program provides support for local environmental projects that sustainably manage natural resources through on-ground work and education. Outcomes must align with the Northern and Yorke Landscape Plan. The program supports volunteers, schools, First Nations groups, community organisations, councils, and landholder groups.
