About the Program

The Influence and Advocate for Change: Online Leadership Program is designed to strengthen the capability and confidence of emerging and established leaders across Barossa, Gawler, Light and Adelaide Plains.

This practical program equips participants with the skills to influence decisions, advocate for change, and communicate effectively in community, organisational and committee environments.

Run entirely online, the program provides flexible access to high-quality leadership development, allowing participants to learn, connect and grow without needing to travel.

Over a series of interactive workshops, you will build the tools, mindset, and confidence to lead with clarity, connect with others, and contribute meaningfully to your community or workplace.

Delivered by RDA BGLAP in partnership with the Coo-ee Collective and proudly funded by PIRSA, the Influence & Advocate for Change: Online Leadership Program focuses on developing confident, capable leaders who can communicate clearly, engage effectively and advocate for positive change across our region.

Key focus areas of the program include:

  • Influential Leadership: Explore what drives motivation for change, understand change management, define issues and solutions, and learn how government mechanisms operate. Build skills in negotiation, influence, and forming strong supporter networks.
  • Communication for Impact: Develop practical tools to speak with confidence, communicate clearly in meetings and presentations, and engage others through purposeful, effective messaging.
  • Advocacy & Influence: Learn how to present a compelling case, influence decision-makers, and advocate for community issues, projects and opportunities with confidence.
  • Stakeholder & Community Engagement: Strengthen your ability to collaborate with committees, community groups and organisations, navigate differing viewpoints, and build constructive, positive relationships.
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Use practical frameworks to analyse challenges, explore options and contribute to informed, confident decision-making in community and organisational settings.
  • Regenerative Leadership in Practice: Use systems thinking, identify leverage points and turn regenerative principles into practical, place-based actions that strengthen community wellbeing.

This program provides emerging and established leaders with practical tools, fresh perspectives and shared learning to step forward with confidence, enabling them to influence outcomes, advocate effectively and play a meaningful role in shaping their community’s future.

Why is the program delivered only online?
