Rolf Binder

Rolf Binder has deep family roots in Barossa Valley, and played a pivotal role in managing and expanding Rolf Binder Wines, a winery recognised for its exceptional wine quality.

Born in Adelaide’s Rose Park to post-war immigrants from Hungary and Austria, Rolf pursued an education in Agricultural Science, specializing in Oenology at Roseworthy College. He leveraged this knowledge to lead the family winery, combining tradition with modern business practices.

Rolf’s leadership has not only upheld the winery’s rich traditions but has also driven its growth. His understanding of the economic significance of the winery to the Barossa Valley has contributed to its success, creating jobs and boosting tourism.

Outside the wine business, Rolf’s interests include travel literature, gardening, and culinary arts. He finds balance in his passions while continuing to make a significant impact on our region as Chair of Regional Development Australia Barossa Gawler Light Adelaide Plains.
