On Monday 14 November, Markku Sotarauta from Finland presented his thoughts on "Customised Innovation Policy for Regions - What leadership capabilities are needed?" at Rolf Binder Wines.

He spoke of innovation systems for regional areas and provided an example of a town, Seinajoki in the South Ostrobothnian region in Finland, that has successfully reinvent itself as a 'knowledge city' through its university and science park. It is now one of the fastest growing towns in Finland.
