RDA Barossa AGM at Lambert Estate

Over 100 people attended the 2015 Regional Development Australia Barossa AGM at Lambert Estate Winery on Thursday 10 September.
The new Lambert Estate Cellar Door as a venue was a paramount drawcard for the numbers of people who attended as it demonstrates the high degree of confidence in investment in the region by business. Lambert Estate also support the Art Music Design Virtual Hub, strengthening the notion of community engagement and support is a two way street.
RDA Barossa Chair Ivan Venning broadly discussed RDA Barossa’s Priorities and Game Changers which guides the work of the RDA Barossa staff. He acknowledged the retiring Board Members, Jo Thomas, Wayne Perry and Charles Mansueto and made special mention and gift presentation to retiring Chair Ian O’Loan. He thanked them all for their hard work and commitment to the Board. He tabled RDA Barossa’s Annual Report for the Board to receive. All were in favour. Read the Summary here.
Chief Executive Officer Anne Moroney then presented the highlights of the financial year 2014-2015 including the many reports commissioned and received, the programs supported such as the ART Music Design Virtual Hub, Barossa Future Leaders Program, Totally Locally, The Barossa Cycle Hub, the Business to Business network and associated events, and finally handed over to Elena to launch the Regional Investment Map.
The RDA Barossa Investment Map is an interactive tool for guiding investment in the region. It is a web based GIS application that presents information in a variety of layers (maps) that can be ‘turned on’ and turned off’ to assist the viewer make informed investment decisions. This was of very high reception by the attendees, who are eagerly awaiting the online launch of the map to be able to play, learn, explore and invest in the region.
RDA Barossa would like to thank Lambert Estate for allowing us to host our AGM in their new facilities, as well as all the attendees. It has been an exciting year for the organisation and 2015-2016 is shaping up to be even more eventful.
